Summary

As a Senior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for acting as the key client contact throughout multiple projects with specific responsibilities for directing pre-construction efforts, negotiating sub-contract agreements, working closely with project managers and superintendents, schedule oversight and helping lead the teams that ensure projects are delivered on time.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management to a company that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company.
  • Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.
  • Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
  • Motivate and lead a high performance management team; attract, recruit and retain required members of the executive team not currently in place; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.
  • Act as lead “client-care officer” through direct contact with every client and partner.
  • Assist, as required, in raising additional capital at appropriate valuations to enable the Company to meet sales, growth, and market share objectives.
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
  • Represent the company with clients and business partners.
  • Oversee scope development and bid preparation.
  • Responsible for project budget forecasting, cost control, scheduling and analysis.
  • Work with project managers and superintendents to plan, organize and direct activities associated with projects. ​
  • Responsible for establishing project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.
  • Confer with project managers and superintendents to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
  • Manage and control projects through administrative direction of project managers and superintendents to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
  • Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer.
  • May requisition supplies and materials to complete project.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients.
  • Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling.
  • Responsible for Safety Management and Planning.
  • Understands contract language.
  • Interest in, or knowledge of decorative concrete would be helpful.
  • Proven record of successful results in all of the above.

Qualifications

Must possess the following qualifications:

  • High Degree of Concrete Construction knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of project planning and cost estimating.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Focused on building quality, lasting relationships while marketing BELARDE.
  • Computer literate including HCSS, Word, Excel, Outlook, Viewpoint or similar knowledge.
  • Must be enthusiastic about adopting BELARDE’s mission to be a team of professionals building quality projects with integrity, excellence and safety.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates in a construction environment.
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve.
  • A commitment to Safety.
  • Valid driver’s license

Education and Experience:

  • 4-year Engineering or Construction Management degree required, or equivalent;
  • Preferred 15-20 years of experience of construction, design, finance and management, minimum of 10 years required.
