Local concrete contractor specializing in site work, paving, decorative and other concrete applications is in search of a strong candidate for a newly developed position as Director of Operations.
This position will be the senior operations position in the company overseeing all day to day operations. Direct reports will include General Foremen, Project Managers, and Warehouse Manager. This position will lead project initiatives from the time we are awarded a contract through its completion. This will include contract review, submittals, schedules, budget review, field staffing oversight, vendors and subcontractor management, construction means and methods, client relations, problem solving, and timely and appropriate billing.
A successful candidate will have extensive experience in mentoring and coaching direct reports and building a successful team through clarity of vision, clear communication, attention to detail, appropriate accountabilities, and positive leadership.
This position is ultimately responsible for safety, quality, and profitability related to field operations.

Must also have the following skills/experience:
- High degree of concrete construction experience and knowledge
- Sound understanding of overall construction principles
- Solid knowledge of financial principles in construction

- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry
- College degree preferred in engineering, construction management or equivalent
